Lloyd Hubert Simms
February 21, 1948 – May 16, 2023
It is with sadness that the family of the Late Lloyd Hubert Simms announce his passing on May 16, 2023, at the age of 75 years.
He leaves to mourn his brothers Alex (Nellie) Simms, Woodrow (Joy) Simms, and Roy Simms; sisters-in-law Ruth (David) King, Joan (Lorne) Williams, Pat (Keith) Sheppard and Glenda Simms; brother-in-law Ivan (Donna) Gilley; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Bessie Simms; brothers Cecil Simms, Wilson Simms, Glen Simms, Cyril Simms, and Wilbert Simms.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Friday, May 19, 2023, from the hours of 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will take place at the Emmanual Pentecostal Church, 45 Bennett Avenue, Deer Lake on Saturday, May 20, 2023, beginning at 2 pm. Interment will follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Lloyd to the Canadian Red Cross.
