Obituary of Linda Lou Murray

Surrounded by the love of her family, the passing of Linda Lou Murray of Frederiction, NB wife of Keith Murray occurred at Thomas Hall, Shannex Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Born on January 23, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Eldon and Helen Northrup.
Linda was a very kind, compassionate and loving person that dedicated herself to her family and helping others. She loved to organize, and host elaborate dinners with family and friends. She would make every occasion special with such things as Easter egg races, March break camp (indoors), scavenger hunts and prizes. She loved to travel, go on shopping trips with the girls and ‘win’ Hummels on eBay. She always encouraged her children to pursue their dreams and explore the world to live and learn.
Linda worked as an Administrative Assistant and was a respected part of a team of Professionals that were successful in establishing and growing several IT companies. She dedicated herself to helping her colleagues in any possible way to ensure they felt comfortable in the positive environment she always attempted to provide. She went to great lengths in supporting her work family. No task was ever too much.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her daughter, Melissa Bailey (Todd) Kenilworth, England; daughter-in-law Bonnie Murray, grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Brayden Murray, Abigail and Grayson Bailey. Sister Geraldine Shirley (late Matthew), and brother Barry Northrup (Bonnie). Several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving son Scott Murray, brothers Garnett (Kay) and Ronald (late Diane).
The family would like to thank the staff at Thomas Hall for the kind and compassionate care Linda was given and the support to our family. We believe there are Angels among us, and many are at Thomas Hall.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Memorial Service will take place at Nashwaaksis United Church, 46 Main Street, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 2:30 pm with Rev. Brian DeLong officiating. The Public is welcomed to register for the Livestream of the Service at www.yorkfh.com Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fredericton, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
