It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Linda Ruth Graham, nee Campbell on January 5, 2023 at the age of 72.
Linda Graham was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and adopted shortly after birth by Stewart and Marise Campbell from Calgary, Alberta. Linda grew up in Calgary, spending summers at the cabin in Sylvan Lake, surrounded with family and friends. She went to work at her father’s insurance company in Calgary, CJ Campbell Insurance. However, she spent most of her working life on the Quorn Ranch, which Stewart purchased in 1960. Linda, with the help of three kids, took care of a herd of cattle, as well as breeding Welsh Ponies. After the passing of her father and mother, Linda continued on, taking care of the ranch she loved. She was an avid reader and could often be found at her dining room table reading a novel with a glass of Coke. Even then her herd of cows would distract her, as she could watch them for hours. She enjoyed playing card and board games and was hard to beat at a game of Hearts.
Linda is survived by her children, Kathleen Alves, Shane Graham (Michelle) and Victoria Lechler (Dennis); a sister, Jo-Anne Campbell; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Okotoks Evangelical Free Church, located in Okotoks, on Saturday, January 28th at 1:00 PM.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff at the Foothills Country Hospice who took amazing care of her before her passing. Their kindness will always be remembered.
