Linda Frangos 1942-2023
With heavy hearts we commemorate the peaceful passing of
Linda Krystalia Frangos on Feb 1, 2023, in her
81st year.
Wife of Michael Frangos, much loved mother of Steven Frangos
(Monika Helbig), Roula Poon Tip (Bruce Poon Tip), and George Frangos
(Brenda Frangos). She will be missed by her beloved
grandchildren Sara Frangos, Becca Frangos, Zach Frangos, Sophie
Frangos, Jada Poon Tip and Terra Poon Tip.
Born in Athens Greece February 14, 1942, and immigrated to
Canada in 1960 at the age of 19 in search of a better life.
The result of which was 61 years of marriage that paved the way for
three children and six grandchildren to have the lives that they enjoy
to this day.
Linda was well known and loved in Guelph’s Greek
community. Her many years of service to the Philoptochos
Society with her many close friends, helped make the way for the
Church and hall the Greek community enjoys today.
She will always be remembered as a beautiful, vibrant and
compassionate person who prioritised her family and friends ahead of
herself. A quality that remained to her last
days.

Funeral service will be held at St Georges Greek Orthodox Church,
February 6 2023 at 11:00am, 50 Dovercliffe Rd., Guelph.
Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions
to planeterra.org, to start a project in honour of Linda Frangos and
Roula Grillas in Greece to keep their memory alive and give back to
