Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the family of Lillian Marie (Bourque) Melanson announces her passing, which occurred on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Sluice Point, N.S., on August 29, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Delphine (Hubbard) Bourque.
Lillian worked as a bookkeeper for New Horizons in Quinan, N.S., as well as a house cleaner and babysitter in Yarmouth. She was an avid quilter and knitter and enjoyed playing Skip-Bo and watching the Game Show Network. One of her favourite things to do was going on road trips with her husband Louis.
Lillian is survived by her son Bernie Melanson (Kim) and grandchildren Trish (Jason) and Dan (Erica) Melanson. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Louis Melanson; brothers Frederick, Leslie, and Robert Bourque; and sister Helena Meuse.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Loch Lomond Villa, especially to Amanda and Chyanne, for the excellent care of Lillian during her time there.
