Celebrating the Life of Leon
“Big Lou” “The Legend”
Leon was born to Jim and Anna of Tees, Alberta and was the brother to Shirley (Greg), Lyle (Joy), John (Tracee), and Jimmy. He worked many years on the oil rigs and was a great mentor to many young people. He also really enjoyed driving big trucks and farming. Leon married young and had five children: Ronald (Tara) and their children Colin, Riley; Jody and her children Zachary and Jasmine; Michael (Teaka) and their children Easton and Brielle; Jordan; and Christopher. Later he married Debbie and gained parents-in-law Don and Nita Allen and brother-in-law Dwayne (Elaine). Together they had Ashley (Brendon) and granddaughter Josephine; twins Alyssa and Leanne; as well as our third twin Lindsay; and honorary son Ryan Wiancko. Leon was predeceased by his dad Jim, his nephew Blake, his father-in-law Don, and his best friend and honorary brother, Ron.
Leon spent as much time as he could with family and going on bike trips with his best friends Ron, Ken, and Bob. Leon’s favorite things included fishing, biking, camping, Creston, Fairmont, Radium, farming, trucking, being a dad and grandpa, as well as meeting old and new friends. The highlight of Leon’s day was the daily phone calls from Ron.
Leon had a sparkling personality and got great pleasure from pulling jokes on anyone – most recently the nurses at the hospital.

Leon had many wonderful people he connected with.
