Lauretta Elizabeth Easson (nee Little) passed away peacefully on January 2, 2023 at the age of 93 surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 13, 1929 in Decker, Manitoba. She is survived by her siblings Vivian Campbell (Gordon), Ted Little (Carol) and sister-in-law Shirley Little. She leaves to mourn her five children David Easson (Dianna), Doug Easson (Terry), Ian Easson (Darlene), Laurie Massie (Barrie), Sheila Easson (Wayne), eight grandchildren Jeff, Shaun (Loreal), Beverly (Jason), Kevin (Trish), Twyla (Paul), Christopher (Jessica), Ron (Nickole), Cameron (Camille), numerous great and great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sister Audrey, brother Wiliam, her daughter-in-law Dawna Easson and son-in-law David Massie.
Lauretta was a long time kindergarten teacher in St. Albert, was a life member of the St. Albert Legion, member of the St. Matthew’s Church and ACW and was nominated for Volunteer of the Year for her active involvement within St. Albert and surrounding communities.
The family would like to thank the staff at Eaux Claires Extendicare and Dr. Datar for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army or charity of choice.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. @ St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, 125 Larose Drive, St. Albert, AB.
