MARTIN, Laura Beth (Riddell)
Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones, on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth. Laura of Stratford, Ontario at the age of 42 years.
Cherished daughter of Mervin and Thelma (Kading) Riddell. Beloved wife and best friend of Bradley Martin. Devoted and proud mother of Devan, Brent, Madeline and Ethan. Laura will be missed by her sister Catherine Riddell and brother Matthew Riddel (Jennifer) by her brothers in law and sisters in law Blair Martin (Shannon), Lewis Martin (Jenn), Dorothy (Keith Bowman) and Stanley Martin. She will be missed by her father on law and mother in law and by her many nieces and nephews.
Laura was an active person who had a great passion for fitness and a few years before her diagnosis, ran a marathon. She had a great love for animals, dogs, cats and as a young girl enjoyed horses. Laura was a person everyone loved, she grew connections with everyone she met. Laura showed everyone kindness, compassion and was never in a hurry, no matter where she went, she found someone to talk to and to listen to their stories. Her love, kind, caring nature and her infectious smile will be missed by all. Above all things in life, Laura loved her family and they were what made her heart as big as it was. She truly lived for her children.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton, on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 5 – 8 p.m. A Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. A livestream will be available to watch if you are unable to attend the service in person. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton.
As expressions of sympathy, donations would be accepted to the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth, and can be done through the funeral home.
