It is with great sadness that the family of the late Larry (J.L.) announce his passing on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 at Western Long Term Care, Palliative Unit at the age of 76 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are, his wife Eva, sons: Marc (Annette) and Norman (Tammy); daughter Lori; grandchildren; Kolton, Kaden, Sarah and Kaitlyn; brothers, Phonse (Patsy), Herbert (Janice) and Bernard; sister Philomena; brothers-in-law: William Pennell (Sherri) and Glenn Pennell (Faye); sisters-in-law: Mildred Hackett and Linda McHugh (Carl); as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents William and Genevieve Hynes, brother Patrick, sister Josephine, brothers-in-law David Hepditch and Allan Hackett.
Larry was a Veteran who proudly served with Peace Keeping in Europe. The family would like to send a special Thank you to the Doctors and Nurses at the Palliative Care Unit for all the support and help, as well a tremendous amount of gratitude for the care provided by Dr. Wadhwa.
Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Friday from 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 10th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Ambrose Anglican Church, John’s Beach with Reverend Effie Organ officiating. The interment will follow at the Church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
