Obituary
On Feb 21st 2023, Kimberley (Kim) Robson-Bogart passed away at Andy’s House in Port Carling, after a very brief battle with cancer. Kim was 64 years old, born in April 1958 to the parents of the late Paul Robson and Verla Belfry (Ron). Kim was the second of five children: Stuart Robson, Irvin Robson (Tina), Mark Robson (Alison) and Melanie Badger (Kelly). Kim was a pillar for the Robson family, a loving and faithful sister, cherished and appreciated for her open-door policy and willingness to help in any situation.
Kim was pre-deceased by the father of her children and lifelong friend Barney Bogart whom she married in 1975. Together they raised four children in Muskoka, Grace Walter (David), Benjamin Bogart (Mariella), Aimee Cooper (Jeremiah) and Stuart Bogart (Heather). Kim and Barney spent 25 years married and several more in a deep and remarkable friendship. To Kim, being a mother came naturally, her patience was profound and rest-assured having four ‘rascals’ put that patience to a test. Kim never wavered in her love, support and guidance for her family, all that she did she did it with love in mind. Leaving behind a legacy of what unconditional love truly means.
Kim and her loving husband Brian Miscio spent the last 21 years together. In partnership, they had many fun adventures with Brian’s daughter Kristin, building a life together and raising their granddaughter Nevaeh Miscio. Kim enjoyed Brian’s sense of humour, he had an innate ability to make her laugh and bring her joy. Kim cared for and doted on Brian, made their house into a home that was welcoming and full of love. Nevaeh held a special place in Kim’s heart as both a daughter and granddaughter, being with Nevaeh brought Kim great happiness and their bond of love of was unmistakeable.
Kim took great pride in her grandchildren Peter, Maggie & Charlotte Walter, Elliott & Jeremy (Jr) Cooper, Richard & Eliana Bogart. Kim took great pride in teaching them to bake, doing crafts adventuring in Florida and going to Santa’s Village. Her final message to the grandkids was on the importance of caring for each other, having a big heart, forgiveness and being kind, these are the principles that Kim demonstrated daily.
Kim was dearly loved by her sister in laws Linda Dunsmore (Bob), Marlene Vettorel, brothers-in-law Raymond Miscio (Danielle), Angelo Miscio, and the late Ron and Lavern Miscio and their families. Kim will be sorely missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins from the Robson, Fenn, Bogart & Miscio families that enjoyed her caring nature, infectious laugh and her sense of fun & adventure.
Kim had a remarkable Christian faith that guided her through life and supported her in her final moments. She rests easy now in the hands of the Lord, enveloped in the love that she had known.
“Honour her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate” – Proverbs 31:31
