Kent Alan Butler born on August 15th 1952 died on April 30th 2023 at Peterborough Regional Health Center. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Butler, daughter Sharon (Kurt Coones) grandson Gavin, brother Brian (Gail) niece Kelly Butler-Brooks (Pete Brooks and their children Jaelyn, Ella and Brinley and son Jeff and his children Madelyn, Reilly and Bentley.
Kent was a longtime member of Northminster United Church in Peterborough where he served in the choir and on the worship committee.
Kent played the trumpet in his High school orchestra and bass guitar for a church group. He also loved riding his tandem bike and snowmobiles with his friends.
He became a piano tuner and worked for many years in the Peterborough area.
He enjoyed fishing and reading music biographies and tales of adventure and exploration.
A celebration of life for Kent will take place at Northminster United Church on May 9th with visitation beginning at 12 p.m. service at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Canadian Cancer Society or to The Northminster United Church would be appreciated.
