Kenneth Harry Spilchuk peacefully slipped away on Friday, April 21st, 2023 in Hudson Bay, SK.
Born in the spring of 1947 in Atikokan, ON, Ken moved around in his childhood before making it to Lynn Lake, MB. It was there that he met and married the love of his life, Joanne Mary Spilchuk, and raised their only child. Ken was a millwright at Fox Lake then later had his own business K&J Services. Up north,he enjoyed the fishing, his hobby photography, the Lions’ Club, Canada Day celebrations, and he was even brave enough to coach his daughter’s ringette team for a year. Ken also spent time working at Ruttan HBM&S in Leaf Rapids for a few years before moving to his wife’s hometown of Hudson Bay, SK. His former coworkers from Weyerhaeuser may recall seeing him cruising around town with his girlfriend Jasmine or his buddy Edgar Allen Poe.
Ken leaves his memory and his love to his wife Joanne, his daughter Angela (Doug, Danielle and Cody), his second family Liz, Tony, Lisa, Rick and Simon Klotz, his favorite sister-in-law Annette, brother-in-laws Bill (Val) and Rick (Pat), all his beloved nieces and nephews and to anyone that shared a laugh with him.
Ken was predeceased by his parents Harry and Betty Spilchuk and his cherished four-legged friends.
