It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Kathleen Marie Hickman of Jean de Baie announces her sudden passing. Kathleen passed away at the her home in Jean de Baie on Sunday, January 22nd, 2023, at the age of 69.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband, Barry of 48 years; sons, Leon Hickman (Cynthia) of Rock Harbour and Barry Hickman (Holly) of Jean de Baie; daughters, Nancy Hickman (Denis) of Salmonier, Gladys Bolt (Victor) of Mooring Cove and Stephanie Hickman (Colton) of Red Harbour; grandchildren, Joshua, Caitlyn (Tyler), Ryan (Josie), Damian, Olivia, Lilly, Isabella and Abigail; sisters, Georgina Mitchell (Robert) of Epworth and Mary Jo Molloy (Thomas) of Jean de Baie; brothers, Dominic Farrell of Little Bay, Howard Farrell (Margarite) of Little Bay, Kenneth Farrell (Violet) of Little Bay, Adrian Farrell (Debbie) of Little Bay and Kevin Farrell of Ontario; sisters-in-law, Ellen Hickman, Ettie Hickman (John), Madonna Pardy (Harvey), Mary Hickman, Rita Spencer (John), Ann Kelly and Bernice Hickman; brothers-in-law, Dave Drake, Gerard Hickman (Dawn), Phil Hickman (June), John Hickman (Linda) and Ben Hickman (Shirley); plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, John & Anastasia Farrell; parents-in-law, John & Gladys Hickman; sisters, Helen O’Keefe (Patrick) and Susanna Drake; brothers-in-law, Patrick, Lester, Fred (Maisie), Martin and Robert (Gloria) Hickman; and sisters-in-law, Theresa Crowley (Leonard) and Donna Young.
The Hickman Family will be accepting visitors at PENINSULA FUNERAL HOME, Creston South on
Monday, January 23

Tuesday, January 24
10am – 12noon
2pm – 4pm

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023 at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Cemetery, Jean de Baie.
In Kathleen’s memory, in-lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Hickman Family.
