Obituary of Katherine Elizabeth Jorgensen
With great sadness we announce the passing of Katherine Elizabeth Jorgensen age 62 at her home in Sackville, NB on Saturday, March 25, 2023, following a brief illness.
Born in Glace Bay, NS she was a daughter of the late George and Jackie (Nelson) Jorgensen.
Katherine loved her family and friends and animals of any kind, especially horses, dogs and tigers.
She will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 29 years, Kevin A. MacDonald; sons, Matthew Blakney of Moncton, NB and Chris Blakney of Dorchester, NB and their dad, Lorne Blakney; her grandchildren, Isabella, Abagail and Brody Blakney; her sister, Leslie Jorgensen (Kerry) of Saint John, NB as well as by her step-mother Hazel McClary of Alberta.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Katherine’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life for Katherine will be held at a later date.
If so desired, donations in memory of Katherine may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, L.A. Animal Shelter or charity of your choice.
