Obituary of Katherine Ann Grant
It is with profound sadness that we announce Katherine Ann Grant (Antonation) earned her wings on July 19, 2023, surrounded by love and family at Riverview Health Center.
Kathy was born in Rivers, Manitoba on November 6, 1955. She grew up in Winnipeg with her three sisters and two brothers.
Kathy met the love of her life, Verne Grant, when she was 16, and together, they had three sons.
They both leave to cherish their memories sons Jason, Marc (Marie) and Robert Grant; honorary son Darryl Sinclair; seven grandchildren Rachael (Tim), Joey, Kaitlin, Mercedes, Austin, Dillon and Kat; great grandchildren Marley, Dresyn, Emma-Rose, Ameira, Riley, and Jaxton; sisters Val, June and Janet; brothers David and Dennis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathy was predeceased by her mother Georgina; father Archie; husband Verne; best friend Linda; and granddaughter Maria.
A heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff and the doctors at Riverview Health Center. We appreciate you more than words could ever express.
The Family Tree
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I hear a voice that whispers, “Grieve, not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the songs.
The good I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you.
Keep on smiling. The sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul at rest remembering all..
How I was truly blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your lives. Don’t stare at the wall.
I miss you dearly, so keep up your chin until the fine day we’re together again”.

I am so sorry for your loss. she was a wonderful person. my prayers go out to your family.
I sadden greatly to hear of Kathy’s passing. My Mom (Linda) and her were indeed best of friends. I find comfort knowing that they’re back together someplace chatting about nothing and everything for hours on end. Thank you for including my Mom in the Obituary. I’m sure that would have made them both very happy.
