Kelley (Wheaton), Katherine Vertis – Age 76, Port Greville, passed away on July 2, 2023 in Valley View Villa. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Wheaton and Donna (Miller) Wheaton.
She grew up in Port Greville, and spent her married life in Grand Pre, Kings County.
Katherine “Kathy” is survived by her sister, Carol Elliott (Richard); brothers, Charles Wheaton (Phyllis), and Gerald “Jerry” Wheaton (Dayle); four nephews and three nieces.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stewart D. Kelley; her son, Alfred D. Kelley; her brother, Brian Wheaton; and her parents.
A graveside committal service will be held in Hortonville Cemetery, Hortonville, at 11a.m. on July 15th with Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.

I am very sorry to hear about Kathy’s passing. We were neighbours in Grand Pre. Alfred use to drop by on a regular basis & play with my children. Kathy was a lovely person. I appreciated having her as a neighbour & friend. Sending hugs to her family at this difficult time. God Bless!
