Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Villa on February 24, 2023, Karl passed away in his 95th year. Beloved husband for 66 years to Inge. Loving father of Betty (Joe), and Michael (Shonagh). Dear brother of Erika and many nieces and nephews in both Canada and Germany. Karl was the second to last of a family of 13 children.
Karl worked for International Harvester/JI Case as a sample maker for 32 years. He was a long-standing member of St. John’s Lutheran Church (Trinity Church). In his retirement, he enjoyed travelling, gardening, and spending time at Lutheranch in Holland Centre. He enjoyed living at Rushdale since 2018.
Special thanks to all the exceptional staff on Pine Grove at St. Joseph’s Villa for their care and compassion shown to Karl during his stay.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave, on March 11th from 9-10am followed by a chapel service in the funeral home at 10am. Burial to take place at Mount Hamilton Cemetery. Donations to Trinity Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made to www.dermodys.com
