SOUTHER, Karen Ann – age 66, of Fort Ellis, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2023 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Alberton PEI, she was a daughter of the late Wilbert and Irene (Harper) Keough.
Karen loved her job at the Grace Maternity Hospital in Halifax as an LPN for many years. She also loved traveling with her husband Bob and enjoyed nature walks, especially on the beach with her fur baby Baylee.
Karen will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Robert; cherished siblings, Hilda, John and Clare; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Arnold, Ethel, Ralph, Ray, Rose Marie and Winston.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. There will be a small service for immediate family and close friends, 1pm Friday, July 7, 2023 at Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A graveside service will be held in PEI at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Karen may be made to the Diabetes Association or the SPCA.
