Obituary
Karen (nee Lawrence), 76, beloved wife of Gilles Beaudin, died peacefully on January 29, 2023 at the Civic Hospital. Karen was mother to Tammy (deceased 1985), Julie Wessel (husband Will) and Jude Beaudin. She was also a loving Grammie to Trientje and Charity Wessel (Julie). Karen is survived by her brother Roy Lawrence (Gracie) and sister Deborah Phillips (Glen).
Karen led a fulfilling life as wife, mother and grandmother and was active in helping others in need through her community and through her church.
Karen’s family would like to thank the Civic Hospital ICU staff and everyone involved in providing her with exceptional care. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in support of women’s health research would be welcome in lieu of flowers.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

    I was sad to hear of Karen’s passing. The whole of the IVC community will miss her dearly and greatly appreciate and benefited from her dedication. I have really appreciated the kindness and compassion Karen has extended to me over the year, and I will miss seeing her walking around the community.

    My heart and prayers are extended to all her family and loved ones.
