It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Karen Elizabeth Soper age 61 from Hodges Cove, surrounded by her family and loved ones on January 20, 2023.
Predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Helen Peddle and her son Jerry Soper.
Forever loved and missed by her loving husband Clifford Soper, daughter Danielle Soper (Don Law), grandchildren Brandon Soper (Taylor Lambert) Alyssa Soper (Casey Brake) siblings, Geraldine Hiscock (Brian), Tina Peddle (Roger Avery), Elaine Sugarman (Cos), Scott Peddle (Patricia Knight) and daughter in law Amanda Seward. Our family would like to thank her good friend Tina Smith for caring for Karen and for the love and support she gave to Karen and continues to provide for our family.
She will be sadly missed, but will always be remembered by her smile that lit up a room as well as her loving, caring personality and generosity towards everyone she met. Her quick wit and funny humour would always bring smiles to the faces of everyone around her and her presence was always welcoming and warm.
The family would like to share special thanks to the amazing nurses at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville and to Dr. Jenna Paul who took care and showed compassion towards her and the family.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will take place in the summer of 2023.
