Karen Lynn Arfa (Anderson) passed away on March 28th, 2023 after a long battle with metastatic osteosarcoma cancer at 59 years old.
It would be wrong to say that Karen lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Karen stayed strong. Her joy for life and bold wild spirit kept her pushing through the pain Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Karen and just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight.
Karen is survived by her husband Karim, her three children Crystal, Kayla and Dalton and her four grandchildren Malikye, Piper, Kassidy and Khaleesi. While Karen’s family grieves thier loss, they are remembering Karen in a way that honors her spirit and invite you to join them in a Celebration of Life. It will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 375 in Richmond Hill this Saturday April 1st from 5pm to 8pm.
Her family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
