Obituary of June M Cole
COLE (Carroll), June Mildred – age 84 of Oldham, passed away on May 11th, 2023, with her granddaughter, Elizabeth by her side. June was born and raised in Lantz, to the late James and Elizabeth (Ettinger) Carroll.
June and her husband loved to travel having travelled across Canada a few times. In the winter months they vacationed in Florida, Mexico and Barbados and went to Cuba more than 20 times. Locally they enjoyed Neptune Theatre and dinner theaters. They both liked the casino and concerts. June loved family dinners and get togethers.
June is survived by her children, Trudy, Ricky, Marty (Mary Lou), Sherri (Blair); twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Erma and Irene; brothers, Archie and Freddie (Dorothy).
June was predeceased by her husband, Harold; youngest son, Randy; brothers, Vernie, John and Murray.
A very special thank you to the great staff at QEII V.G. Hospital 7A and her wonderful sister, Irene who was with her every step of the way and lovely granddaughter, Elizabeth.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Homes, Shubenacadie and Elmsdale.
A graveside service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, May 28th, in the Christ Church Cemetery, Lantz. Rev. Dr. Jane Magrath officiating.
Family flowers only, donations may be made to Soul’s Harbour Rescue Mission or the Canadian Cancer Society.
