Julianna Irene Jubenville (nee Lievens) passed away peacefully, in hospital, with family by her side Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Widow to the late Robert Anthony Jubenville (2021). Leaving behind her children Madeline (Martin) Mason, Clarence (Tiffany) Jubenville, Amendine (Eric) Millard, and George (Monia) Jubenville. Grandma to her grandchildren Samantha (Jason), Micheal, Grace (Jordan), Victoria, Jack, Daniel, Calista (fiancé Harman) and Alisa Jubenville. Great Grandma to Aiden, Aria and Jason Jr.
Julianna was born September 14, 1939 to the late George and Madeline Lievens. Julianna was the second oldest of “The Seven Sisters” Margaret (Jim), Florence (Paul), Roseanne (late George), Maria (Roger), late Irene (Henry), Georgina (Ron). Sister-in law to the late Doris (late Raymond), late Leo, late Rosemarie, late Leonard (late Antoinnette), late Donald, Irene (Ben) and Francis. Remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews.
Julianna was all about family and friends. She LOVED talking on the phone for hours about all the happenings of her day, her garden, her children, her grandchildren, and all of their accomplishments. She did not enjoy cooking at all…but did enjoy checking the flyers for deals and collecting cookbooks. After years of working hard in fields and in factories, Julianna (with Robert) enjoyed helping people and sharing their garden’s bounty. Her other hobbies including bird watching, buying seeds for next year’s crop, reading (newspaper), and planning family reunions. Julianna was known for her big heart, incredible kindness, infectious smile, and her love of laughter. Julianna was a devoted Catholic and member of the St. Ursula’s Parish.
The family would like to thank the health-care professionals from Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and each one of the PSWs from Erie Shores for their incredible kindness and care of Julianna.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Arthritis Society Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation are appreciated. There is an opportunity to pay condolences to the family on Monday, June 19, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Life Transitions, 397 McNaughton Ave W, Chatham. A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00am St. Ursula’s Parish, 205 Tweedsmuir Ave W, Chatham with burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 5425 Tecumseh Line, Tilbury, with luncheon.
