Passed away peacefully at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on February 6, 2023 in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Noel Cowell (d. 1998). Caring mother to Thomas (Genny), David (Tammy), Brian (Kim), and Jeff (Amanda). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Amber (Adam), Ryan (Lauren), Willow, Cooper, Tyson, and Dakota. Great grandma to Xander, Dexter, Kaydence, Chanel, Colton, and Mackenzie. Joyce is survived by her sister Ruth (Kurt). Predeceased by her great grandson Dawson (d. 2008). She will be remembered by many other extended family, friends, and was a score keeper to many. Visitation will take place at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, February 9 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Merritt Funeral home on February 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Donations to Community Living would be appreciated and if desired can be made through the funeral home, merritt-fh.com (905)957-7031
