Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, Josie Hopkins of Carbonear, age 93 years.
Predeceased by first husband: Caleb Hopkins; second husband: Abram Hopkins; parents: Elias and Alice Oldford; brothers: Tom, Joe, Bob, Rance, and Ray.
Leaving to mourn, son: Ed (Maureen), Lower Island Cove; two step-daughters: Darlene (Mike) Dooley, Kitchener, ON and Marilyn (Harry) Emberley, Whitby, ON; four step-sons: Ted (Linda), Don (Joyce), Wayde (Nita), all of Old Perlican, and Jim (Debbie), Gull Island; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother: Alex Oldford, Bunyan’s Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends.

Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday, March 26 from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, March 27 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Funeral service to take place on Monday, March 27 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear.
Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Island Cove.
