Obituary of Josephine Astrope
It is with deep sadness that the family of Josephine (Loroff) Astrope, a long-time resident of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, announce her passing on Easter Sunday, April 9th, 2023, with family by her side. Josephine was 81 years of age and resided at the Sunnybank Center, Oliver, British Columbia.
Josephine will be forever missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and her many friends.
Josephine’s family would like to thank everyone for the phone calls, texts and support we received following her passing and we especially want to express our sincere gratitude for the love, care, and professionalism the Sunnybank staff gave our mom throughout her stay and in her final days.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 2:00pm from Reynars Funeral Chapel in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, to honour Josephine, in remembrance, respect and love. Pastor Megan Polowski will officiate.
For Friends so wishing, donations may be made in Josephine’s memory to the Dawson Creek Hospital Auxiliary, 11100-13th Street, Dawson Creek, British Columbia, V1G 3W8, in which she was a volunteer for many years.
