Josephine Elizabeth Erickson entered into the presence of her Lord on July 24, 2023, at the age of 89.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Richard (Lorna), Judy (Darwin) Ruzicka, Paul (Debbie), Joyce (Darryl) Sword, Jo-Ann (Red) Callbeck, Gerald (Reona); 16 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren; her sisters Eva Ziehl, and Gwen (Garry) Stickel. Josie was predeceased by her first husband Eldon Erickson, and her second husband Bob Harvey.
Josie was born in Port Arthur, Ontario , on December 1, 1933, the second of five children. She was married to her loving husband for 56 years and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Josie married Bob Harvey eight years after Eldon passed away. They enjoyed two years of fun & laughter before Bob passed away in 2021.
Josie had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was dedicated to helping as many people as she could come to know Jesus. She lived her faith passionately and worked faithfully in and out of the church. Her family thank God for the amazing legacy she has left them but take comfort in knowing that they will see her again one day. Josie will be missed and remembered by all who knew her.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Cowley Community Hall on Saturday July 29th at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Abundant Springs Community Church.
