Lariviere, Joseph Andre Malcolm 1932 – 2023
Sadly, the family is announcing that Joseph passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre on Sunday February 12, 2023 at the age of 90. Predeceased by Madeline Emily Commanda Dokis. Beloved father of Dolores, Debra-Rose (Allan), Doreen, Theodore (Ann), and predeceased by his late son Perry Donald. He will be sadly missed by his 5 grandchildren Amanda, Holli-Lyne, Amy (Justin), Zachariah and Alexa (Jackson), and his great grandson Leo John. Survived by his siblings Mary and George. Predeceased by parents, Joseph and Harriet and siblings Sam and Yvonne.
Joseph, a proud Korean War veteran, served his country with honor. Joseph had an adventurous and spontaneous spirit and sought the open road with fishing pole in hand and sharing big stories to match. He also had a passion for woodworking, star gazing, riding his 10-speed bike, and card and computer games, including contract bridge. Joseph’s pursuit of woodworking forged a vocational path that led to work at Canadian Bond Box and a desire to upgrade his skills by obtaining certification at Humber College as a cabinet maker.
