It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father on June 9th, 2023. Devoted husband for nearly 56 years of the late Sandra Janusas, Jos passed away peacefully surrounded and celebrated by family at the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence. He is survived by his cherished children Gilda, Lisa (Sylvain Lewis), and Mark (Stephanie Rondeau). Affectionately known as Peppe to Emma, Sarah, Sonia, Mathiew and Olivia.
Until the very end and despite the Alzheimer’s disease that deprived his loved ones of his true self, Jos maintained his infectious enthusiasm for life that endured all to want to be with him. Always positive and full of energy, his zest for life was truly contagious. His many passions included skiing, golfing, exotic cars, travel, wine and Italian food. That passion also extended to his love for Preston Phipps, which he devoted 54 years of his life leaving behind a proud legacy and cementing true bonds with countless customers and suppliers along the way.
Special thanks to the care givers at SunRise Beaconsfield for providing attentive care during his 5 year stay. The family extends much gratitude to the Lakeshore Hospital and the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence. In lieu of flowers, the family’s wish is for donations to be made at either of these Foundations in his honor.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at the Belvedere funeral complex, 22025 autoroute Transcanadienne, H9X 0B2 Senneville, QC on Thursday June 15th at 11:00AM – Chi Meglio di Noi!
C’est avec le cœur lourd que nous annonçons le décès de notre père bien-aimé le 9 Juin, 2023. Époux dévoué pendant près de 56 ans de feu Sandra Janusas, Jos s’est éteint paisiblement entourer et célébré par sa famille à la résidence de soins palliatifs Teresa Dellar. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Gilda, Lisa (Sylvain Lewis) et Mark (Stephanie Rondeau). Emma, Sarah, Sonia, Mathiew et Olivia l’appelaient affectueusement Peppe.
Jusqu’à la fin, et malgré la maladie d’Alzheimer qui a privé ses proches de sa véritable personnalité, Jos a conservé son enthousiasme contagieux pour la vie, qui a incité tout le monde à vouloir être avec lui. Toujours positif et plein d’énergie, sa joie de vivre était vraiment contagieuse. Ses nombreuses passions étaient le ski, le golf, les voitures exotiques, les voyages, le vin et la cuisine italienne. Cette passion s’étendait également à son amour pour Preston Phipps, auquel il a consacré 54 ans de sa vie, laissant derrière lui un fier héritage et cimentant de véritables liens avec d’innombrables clients et fournisseurs tout au long de son parcours.
Nous remercions tout particulièrement le personnel soignant de SunRise Beaconsfield pour l’attention qu’il a apportée pendant son séjour de cinq ans.
La famille est très reconnaissante envers l’Hôpital du Lakeshore et la Résidence de soins palliatifs Teresa Dellar. Au lieu de fleurs, la famille souhaite que des dons soient faits à l’une ou l’autre de ces fondations en son honneur.
Une cérémonie de célébration de la vie aura lieu au complexe funéraire Belvedere, 22025 autoroute Transcanadienne, H9X 0B2 Senneville, QC le Jeudi 15 Juin à 11:00AM – Chi Meglio di Noi!
