Peacefully passed away, at the age of 87, on January 4, 2023 at the Lachine hospital. Loving husband of the late Josephine O’Brien (nee Paine); will be sadly missed by his children Michael (Cindy), Brenda (Denis), and David; his grandchildren Craig (Julia), Tim (Cathy), Patrick (Sacha) and Leanne (Jonathan); his great grandchildren Jocelyn and Rosalie; his sister Helen (Gerald); his in-laws Christopher and Doreen, Eleanor and Tom, Nicole, Reggie and Maureen; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13 at 10 a.m. followed by a mass at 11 a.m. at St. John Brébeuf Parish in LaSalle. Interment at the Yves Legare Funeral Complex columbarium in LaSalle.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the MGH Gastroenterology department or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank Dr. Geneviève Chaput and her team in the palliative care unit of the Lachine hospital for their care and support.
