Rivet, Joseph Florient (1941 – 2023)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 at the age of 82 years. Son of the late Simon Rivet and of the late Florende Rivet (née Ranger). Husband of the late Lenora Rivet (née Hough). Dear father of Theresa Rivet-Russel (Ed Felix), Robert Rivet (Sophie), Darlene Hassan (Jimmy) and Daniel Rivet. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Daniel Russel (Cheri), Lisa Russel (Jeremy), Chelsey (Chris), Dawson (Jacqueline), Megan, Easton, Patrick (Jasmine) and Nicholas as well as his great-grandchild Toby. Brother of François (Bernice) and Raymonde (Jim Ralston). Predeceased by his siblings Solange (Jim Burleigh) and Dorian.
Joseph was an intelligent and crafty man whose love for music was made apparent through his many musical instruments. He was a friendly person who always had a joke for everyone he came across. Joseph touched the lives of many people and he will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends at Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls on Wednesday, July 26th, 2023 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Thursday, July 27th after 9:00 am. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am.
