Joseph’s Obituary
SEWARDS, Joseph Arthur – 86, Pleasant Valley, Yarmouth Co., passed away on September 15th, 2023 at home. Born July 26, 1937 in Yarmouth, he was the only son of the late Gordon and Elsie (Moulaison) Sewards. After completing high school in Yarmouth, he joined the R.C.A.F. in 1955 where he was an electronics technician (comm/radar) for more than 26 years. After retiring from the Canadian Forces in 1981, he worked at the Yarmouth Airport as a commissionaire for over 15 years, retiring again in 1996. He enjoyed reading, building models of all kinds, painting, music, and visiting with his favorite relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. Donations in memory of Joseph may be made to the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation, the IWK, Children’s Wish Foundation or to YARCO. Burial is to be at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth, on Thursday September 21st, 2023 at 10 a.m. You may sign the online guestbook by visiting www.huskilson.net
