Mrs. Jolanta Slodki of Brantford passed away at Brantford General Hospital on Monday, July 31, 2023 in her 100th year. Jolanta was born in Poland on February 22, 1924, came to Canada in May, 1961, resided in Springford, Delhi and later in Brantford . She was privileged with a long life filled with many fond memories and accomplishments. She was a proud member of CWL, Delhi Senior Citizens Friendship Centre, Delhi Happy Gang, Polish Ladies Circle and the Polish Alliance Branch 17. She enjoyed knitting sweaters for the community, cooking and taking walks about the neighbourhood. Former Jolanta Korta. Beloved wife of Late John Slodki (1988). Loving mother of Diane Labinowicz (John) and Christine Baird (David). Cherished grandmother of Lisa (Jay), Steven (Lindsay), Megan (Chris) and Michael. Dearest great-grandmother of Brennan, Sebastian, Lilikoi and Ocean. Jolanta is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in both Canada and Poland . Predeceased by her 10 siblings. A special thank you to all of the staff at Amber Lea Place Retirement Home in Brantford for their care and compassion. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Church on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Delhi Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
