John Harrington Adam Turner, born and raised in Toronto, formerly of Harriston passed away at Caressant Care, Arthur on Friday, April 7, 2023 in his 95th year.
Husband of the late Marilyn (Shultis) Turner.
Father of Kathleen ‘Kitty’ Turner-Malysa and her husband Joe of Orangeville, John Turner and his wife Suzanne of Aurora, Nancy Turner of Mount Forest, and Patrick Turner and his wife Sandy of Harriston.
Remembered by his grandchildren Adam Malysa, Amanda Turner-Kitts, Jonathan Turner, and Devin Turner, and by his great-grandson Wes Kitts.
Predeceased by his parents George and Annie May ‘Nancy’ (Harrington) Turner, sisters Patricia Cruikshank and Kathleen ‘Kitty’ Greaves.
John will be missed by his sister-in-law Gloria Still of Stouffville, brother-in-law Glen Gray of Peterborough, as well as all of his nieces and nephews, especially Tricia Baker, Bridie Cruikshank, and Annie May Cruikshank.
A private family gathering will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, with interment to follow in Harriston Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Minto Minor Hockey Association (cheques made payable to the Town of Minto) would be appreciated, and may be made through the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home.
