On Tuesday, September 19, 2023 the LORD in his mercy called to himself John Koster at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Dirkje (nee Veenema) for 65 years. Loved father of Crystal and Kelvin Vanderveen, Nancy and Gerald Vandergaag, Janese and Pete VanderBrugghen, Jeanette and Fred Tamminga, Jay and Meta Koster, Kelly and Gerald Wattel, Shannon and John Bergsma, and Duane and Wendy Koster. Dear Grandpa of 47 grandchildren and 65 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother Adrian (Ietie) Koster and sister Fina (Wayne) Bergsma and predeceased by sisters Dina Vanderveen and Adriana Vanderveen.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening from 6-9 p.m. at COVENANT CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 480 Woolverton Road, Grimsby where the Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11 a.m., Rev. John Ludwig officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Private interment service to be held prior to the service at Lane Cemetery. Donations to Anchor Christian Homes would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
