John Hudson- dedicated husband, father and friend passed away at home in Blackie, Alberta on Sunday, July 16th, 2023, after a long-fought battle with diabetes and heart conditions.
John was born to George Hudson and Mary Burnham in Cowansville, Quebec on May 5th, 1963, and was later adopted by his aunt and uncle, George and Irene Burnham. John was born near the middle of his 18 siblings and grew up with his twin siblings Brenda and Billy and his sister Diane.
After a brief stay at Massey Vanier High School, John went on to go into the workforce. He enjoyed working outdoors as all his jobs in his younger years were spent doing landscaping, forestry and bricklaying. John continued to work when he met Vicky, his wife of 32 years. In 1997 John and Vicky moved to High River, Alberta as John got a job at Cargill Processing Plant.
John had many hobbies he loved, like going to the mountains or going to the lake to do some fishing. John was also very passionate about music. Although he never picked up playing an instrument you would always catch him carrying around a juke box or sitting around just taking in his 80’s rock music.
John is survived by his wife Vicky Hudson of Blackie AB and his 2 sons Shane and Alex Hudson, also from Blackie AB and many siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins from Quebec. He is pre-deceased by his father George and mother Mary.
A celebration of life/memorial will be held Sunday, July 30th at 3 PM at the High River Full Gospel Church.
