John Henry Cox
February 5, 1939 – January 31, 2023
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father John Henry Cox on January 31, 2023 after a brief and brave battle with prostate cancer, just shy of his 84th birthday.
Our father was born in Dunsfold, England and immigrated to Canada with his sister Shirley and parents in 1954.
Our father took pride in his gardens and won numerous awards during his time employed with Humber Memorial Hospital and continued his hobby with gardening at Branksome Hall where he retired from but still visited with his numerous friends.
He was one of a kind, a heart of gold and will be forever missed by his sister Shirley Brew (Cox), his children Kelly Ann, Daniel James and David Jolun Cox, and all his grandchildren, and many friends and colleagues.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to either Canadian Cancer Society or the Sick Kids Foundation
