It is with broken hearts that the family of the late John Cyrus Hooper of Lamaline announces his passing. John passed away at the US Memorial Long Term Care in St. Lawrence on Friday, July 7th, 2023, at the age of 81. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife of 59 years Beulah Hooper; son, Terry Hooper (Melony) of Torbay; daughter, Carolyn Boland (Charl) of Lamaline; sister, Collie LeClair (Paul) of Grosse-Ile, MI; brother, Lester Hooper (Lynda); 5 grand children, Jonathan, Jeremy, Luna, Thomas and Caden; 4 great-grand children, Isabella, Noah, Mason and Peyton; brothers in law, Albert Hillier (Ruby), Johnny Hillier (Jean), Glen Hillier, Paul Hillier; sisters in law, Pauline Hardy, Et Hillier (Freeman), Carol Cousins (Donnie); plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
John was predeceased by parents, George and Jessie Hooper; Auntie Ruth Hooper; parents in law, Thomas and Dorothy Hillier; sister in law, Gloria Hillier; brother in law, Billy Hillier; special niece, Melissa Hooper.
As per John’s wishes cremation has taken place.
The Hooper family will be receiving visitors at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Lamaline on Monday, July 10th, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
Funeral service will take place at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Lamaline on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 at 2:00pm.
In John’s memory donations may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church-Cemetery Fund. Donations may be sent to P.O. Box 100, Lamaline, NL A0E 2C0.
