OOSTDYK, John Abraham
Peacefully at Shalom Manor, Grimsby on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 the LORD called to Himself John Oostdyk, at the age of 106 years. Beloved husband of the late Francien Oostdyk (nee DeJonge) for 74 years. Dear father of Bill and Liz Oostdyk, Ann Murphy, Ada and John Hulleman, John and Jolanda Oostdyk, Frank and Jenny Oostdyk, and Henry and Bernice Oostdyk. Loved Grandpa of 25 grandchildren and 92 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Janny Heijn, brothers-in-law Abe DeJonge, Pete DeJonge, and sister-in-law Wilma Veenema. Predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. Friends may visit with the family at EBENEZER CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 607 Dynes Rd., Burlington on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. where the Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Dr. Arjan deVisser officiating. A livestream of the Service is available through a link below. Reception to be held in the church hall.
