John A. Meagher Sr, age 72 of Lower Coverdale NB, passed away
with his loving family at his side, at The Moncton Hospital on
Thursday, June 8, 2023. Born in Guysborough County, NS on September 3,
1950. He was the son of the late Kathleen Meagher.
John was a retired employee of Modern
Construction Limited. He was a man who loved his family
unconditionally, never missing family events. He was always a pillar
of strength. John enjoyed camping at Pinecone Camping, but his true
passion was the love he had for his family and his cat
Silly.
John is survived by
the love of his life, wife of 43 years, Linda Meagher (His Queen). He
is also survived by their loving children, Amanda Jones (Chris),
Kathleen Meagher (Scott Bird), John Jr. Meagher (Angela); his
grandchildren, Kelsey, Aidan, Sylvia, Bradley and
Kylo.
He is also survived by his sister Mary Hadley (Mike), his in
laws Anna Flaglor (Sonny), Hawlie Murphy (the late Heather) and
Darlene Murphy as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his mother, he is predeceased by
his step-father Howard A Cummings, his in-laws Arnold and Freda
Murphy, and his best friend and partner in crime Ted Hadley.
Honouring John’s wishes, a celebration of
life (Pepsi party) will be held June 25th, 2023 at
the Pine Glen Community Center, 1003 Pine Glen Rd, Riverview
NB from 1pm-3pm.
Cremation has taken place at TBL Crematorium.
Donations can be made in memory of John to the
Alzheimer’s Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation,
to Colon Cancer or to his living memorial.
