Passed into glory amid the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ from Jessica’s House, Exeter, with her family by her side.
Predeceased by her parents Geert & Johanna Van Bruggen and her first husband Gary Mark.
Left to mourn is Clare, and her siblings Jisko (Faith) Van Bruggen, George (Judy) Van Bruggen, Nancy (Kerry) Game. Her children, Mike (Nancy) Mark, Ray (Michelle) Mark, Jeff (Cleareace) Mark, Step-Children Barbara (Peter) Bootsma, Wayne (Peggy) Smith, and Brenda Smith. Also loved and missed by 26 grandchildren, and soon to be 26 great grandchildren.
Joanne raised her 3 boys in Windsor, attended the University of Windsor, graduating as a certified bookkeeper. She married Clare on July 10, 1993 and moved to Goderich. While managing low income property, she established her own income tax preparation business. Her passion was helping single moms, and especially counselling for Caring for the Heart Ministries, Wingham, Ontario.
Cremation has taken place according to Joanne’s wishes. Visitation will be at the Falconer Funeral Homes – Bluewater Chapel, 201 Suncoast Dr. E., Goderich, on Friday July 21, 2023 commencing at 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Saturday July 22, 2023 commencing at 9 a.m. until time of the funeral celebration her life at 11 a.m.
Donations in lieu of flowers greatfully accepted for Caring for the Heart Ministries Canada – Wingham, Jessica’s House – Exeter, Cancer Clinic at Victoria Hospital (London Health Sciences Centre) or the charity of your choice.
