Passed away peacefully in Burlington on May 11, 2023, in his 82nd year after living defiantly with Parkinson’s disease for many years. Born in Cayuga, Ontario on November 15, 1940, and a former life-long resident of Brantford, Ontario.
Jim is survived by his caring sister Joan Callan (the late Jim) of Burlington. Loving uncle of Maureen of Burlington, the late Tom and his wife Kim of Sarnia, and Michael and his wife Michelyne of Nairobi, Kenya. Also missed by his great-nephews Kyle and his partner Madeleine of Burlington and Liam of Hong Kong. Special great-great uncle of “the little girl” Emerie who loved going for wheelchair rides.
Jim was an avid cruiser having hit the platinum medal status and would go on a cruise any time and any where.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Monday, June 12 from 12-1 p.m., a Service of Remembrance will follow in the Chapel at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Parkinson Canada or The Michael J. Fox Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family. www.smithsfh.com
