Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the families of the late Jim Raymond announce his passing on Friday, April 14th, 2023, at the Western Long Term Care Facility, Palliative care unit, in Corner Brook, NL, at the age of 73 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 53 years; Bonnie nee Wight, his sons; Jamie (Vicki), and Jody, his grandchildren; Katie, Regan, James, Jade, Kacie, Mason, Morgan, and Willow George, his brothers; Jerry (Deanna) Raymond, Pat (Sal) Raymond, Mike (Tina) Raymond, his sisters; Christina Babenchuk, Mary-Lou Raymond (Tony Bak), Anne-Marie Jakobsons, and Peggy Raymond, his sisters-in-law; Myra (Jim) Floros, Maxine (Dave) Carter, Linda Wight, Liz Wight, Sandra Wight, Betty Wight, Irene Raymond, and Peggy Raymond, his brothers-in-law; Bob (Francine) Wight, Don (Lena) Wight, and Gerald (Jessie) Wight, his special friends; Alvin (Linda) Martin, Glennie Antle, Roger (Shelia) McLeod, and Art Pells. Jim was predeceased by his parents; Myrtle and Jim Raymond, his brothers; Bill, Lawrence (Doll), Edward, and Vince, his sister; Geraldine, and his dog Minnie (October 2022), also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In keeping with Jim’s request cremation will take place.
The family will be receiving family and friends at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL, on Monday, April 17th, 2023, from the hours of 12:00 – 1:30 pm, where also the Memorial service will take place from on Monday, April 17th, 2023, at 2:00 pm, with Major Henry Bingle officiating with the inurnment to take place at a later date.
