GAVEY, Ralph James ‘Jim’
Passed away, with his family by his side, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the age of 80. Jim was a retired banking manager of Durham East after 41 years of dedicated service, was a member of Kiwanis Club for 30+ years (President of the Cornwall Club). Jim is the cherished partner of Rachel Burrows. Dear father of Kari-Lynn Gavey-Davis (Carm) and Aaron (Jennifer). Loving Grandpa of Adam (Kevin), Melissa (Steven), Haley (Dana), Joshua, Olivia, and Elizabeth. Great grandpa of Élora-Lynn and Élyana Watkins. Predeceased by parents, Cecil and Elsie Gavey. Fondly remembered by brother, Bud (Diane). Predeceased by siblings, George (Lorraine), Stanley (Doris), Eunice (Bill) Chipchase, Don (Shirley), and Raymond (Connie). A memorial reception will be held at Ashburnham Funeral Home – 840 Armour Road, Peterborough on Sunday, April 9, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM with words of remembrance at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Golden Rescue would be appreciated.
