Hone, Jill Barbara (née Cawley) ~ February 23, 1956 – January 21, 2023 – Passed unexpectedly after a brief battle with illness on Saturday, January 21st, 2023, at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. She will be dearly missed by her children Jennifer Kalka (Shane), Kurt Hone (Meghan) and Christine Hone (Patrick). She is predeceased by her father Harman Cawley, Survived by her mother Aldeen Cawley and her brother Brad Cawley. She leaves behind her grandchildren Owen Kalka, Jaide Kalka, Gabrielle Nicholas, Peyton Hone and Annabelle Nicholas. She will be remembered by Richard Hone and all the Hone family.
Jill had a limit-less capacity to share love, compassion, and acceptance. Her presence and twinkling eyes would light up a room. She was a nurturer and a warrior whose spirit and will to live would not be broken. May she now find peace as she continues her journey in the care of her trusted angels.
Family and friends are welcome to join us in Celebrating Jill’s Life on Thursday, February 23rd (her birthday) at 2:00pm – throughout the evening in her home where she was at her happiest. Please contact family for details if needed. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to thank the ICU nurses, especially Kelly, at the Ross Memorial Hospital for their outstanding compassionate care.
