It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Jessie James Auger in Red Deer, Alberta on
September 17, 2023, at the age of 32 years. Jessie was born in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, where he
grew up with his two brothers often being referred to as the “Auger Brothers”, he went to school in
Rocky and later graduated from Lyndsey Thurber in Red Deer. He resided in Red Deer until his passing.
Jessie enjoyed being outdoors and always had stories of his encounters with animals. He was a gentle
Soul, who had a lot of empathy for others, especially children and animals.
Jessie will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Loralie Auger (Jim Slade) of Eckville; his brother,
Jordan Auger (Anastasia and Serenity) of Rocky Mountain House; his grandparents, Dave and Heather
Emmons of Daysland; his aunts, uncles, and cousins Dave Emmons (Lynn and family); Rick Emmons (Bev and family); Audrey Brest Auger (Vince and family); Dwayne Auger (Carrie and family); Merle Auger (Shelley and family); Steven Auger Brest;his ‘bonus’ sister, Chelsie Sharpe, and many friends.
Jessie was predeceased by his brother, Joey Auger; his father, Stan Auger; his grandparents, Joe and Eva
Auger; his cousin Amanda Emmons; and his cousin Skyler Auger. A Celebration of Jessie’s and Joey’s lives will be held at the Gilby Hall, Eckville, Alberta, on October 7, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Jessie, and his brother Joey will be laid to rest at a later date.
