It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jessie Goldie Fisher (nee. White) announce her passing on February 5th, 2023 surrounded by her family, in her 87th year. Jessie was the last surviving child of Francis and Elizabeth White. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, her children: Susan Pettigrew (Herb), ON, Brian Fisher (Isabel), NL, Lorraine Hynes (Bill), ON, Cindy Morgan, NL, and Sheila Fisher, ON; special grandson: Sean, ON; grandchildren: Trina, Brian, Philip, Melissa, Brian Jr., Marianne, Craig, Cory, Jessica, Krista, and Shane; great-grandchildren: Cory, Brandy, Brian, Bradley, Brittany, Samantha, Evan, Kaleb, Ryleigh, Finnley, Sydney, Dylan, Liam, Owen, Anthony, Alyssa, Alexandra, Hayden, and Alexander; great-great-grandchildren: Oliva, Lucy, and Moses; and her special care giver: Olivia Lewis.
Jessie is predeceased by her husband, Tobias Fisher; daughter in law: Roberta Fisher; son: Hillary Fisher; son-in-law: Hughie Morgan; grandson: Ian Pettigrew; granddaughter: Kayla Morgan; and all of her brothers, sisters, and in-laws.
There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 9th, 2023 at 2 PM at the Salvation Army Temple, O’Connell Drive, Corner Brook, with Major Brian Wheeler officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Jessie’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
