Obituary of Jean Paul Poirier
It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Paul Poirier announce his passing which occurred on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born July 28, 1948, in Collette, New Brunswick.
Jean retired 10 years ago from Centennial Pontiac and enjoyed a variety of interest including his two favorite pastimes: bowling and fishing. He was also proud to say that he contributed to the blood donation program 100 times.
Jean leaves behind his loving wife, June Poirier; son David Poirier (Rachel); grandchildren Alana (Lachlan), Caitlyn (Gregory), and Kira (Tyler); great grandchildren, Danny and Raphael; sisters Lucielle and Murielle (Rod); and his brothers Raymond (Elodianne), Emile (Rosemone), Ronald (Elaine), and Robert.
He is predeceased by both his parents.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). In keeping with Jean’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation of funeral service. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
