With heavy hearts we announce that Jean Hunt passed away peacefully at home on Saturday March 25, 2023, at the age of 88 surrounded by her family. Jean’s life was marked by her unwavering kindness and generosity, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a devoted wife to her late husband Elwood Hunt (September 2, 1991) and a loving mother to her children, Thomas Hunt, Mary Valiquette, and David Hunt, all of whom reside in Arnprior. Jean was a remarkable grandmother to nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom she cherished and adored. She was predeceased by her 2 brothers, William, and Kenneth Darou and will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews who looked up to her as a source of wisdom and inspiration. Jean took immense pride in the accomplishments of her family, and her love and support knew no bounds. She was a warm and welcoming person, always eager to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. Her kindness and generosity touched the hearts of all those who knew her. Jean’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. A graveside service to honour Jean’s life and legacy will be held at the Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery a later date. In memory of Jean, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
