Margaret Jean Wilson (nee Madill)
September 19th, 1934 – May 25th, 2023
Our Mum went to be with her Saviour, surrounded by family praying and worshipping while she entered Heavens Gates.
Daughter of Irish immigrants, Andy and Hetti (Conlon) Madill, one of five children.
Mum married Howard Wilson on January 29, 1954 and they had seven children. Howard predeceased her on September 27, 2018. She was also predeceased by her only son, Jeff Wilson in 1966.
Jean is survived by six daughters, Denise Wilson (Gary Faircloth), Valerie Sinke (Robert), Andrea Kuzyk (Douglas), Karyn Elrafih (Mohamed), Tamara Wierenga (Peter), Kimberly Town (Jeff); twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; sister and best friend, Elsie McBurney (Douglas); sisters-in-law, Margaret Madill and Barbara Madill.
She was predeceased by her brothers and sister-in-law, Jim Madill, Andy “Gump” Madill, Joe and Joanne Madill.
Mum was Dad’s right hand partner as they ran a successful family business, but more importantly, Mum was a devoted volunteer of our church, speaking into many young girl’s lives. She continued her blessings of friendship to the many lovely residents of Cedarview. Her servant heart was her God given gift and she always carried that out in her actions and love for others.
Our whole family was very aware that she lifted each and everyone of us up in prayer to our Heavenly Father on a daily basis. Her legacy of being a prayer warrior, will, as the Bible promises, be a blessing to her children and her children’s children. That blessing is that God would Lead, Guide, Direct, Bless, Save, Deliver, Help, Protect and Provide.
Relatives and friends are invited to Movement Church, 65 Lansdowne Avenue, Woodstock on Wednesday May 31, 2023 for a visitation from 11am until time of the funeral service at 12 noon. Pastors Jeff and Amber Price will officiate. Reception following.
